The anticipation of the upcoming Record Store Day on April 22, 2023 is in full swing, featuring a blistering line up of accomplished and astounding artists in support of local record stores nationwide and internationally. The world was introduced to Record Store Day on April 19, 2008, which was inspired by record stores and the pivotal role they play in musical communities and intended to unite musicians and fans while gathering at participating record stores.

This year’s lineup features a vast collection of releases from independent artists to the most prominent artists in today’s popular music culture and includes exclusively released vinyl specifically pressed for Record Store Day. Each year delegated artists are assigned to be ambassadors and multi-platinum artist Taylor Swift is returning with the title after her previous run as ambassador of 2022. Country and americana rockers and husband and wife Jason Isbell an Amanda Shires were also selected to be ambassadors. English rock band The 1975, were respectively named the official UK ambassadors who are also releasing "Live With The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra" as a record day exclusive. Indie pop duo Beach House are issuing a heavily anticipated and limited release titled Become. Other artists and musicians ranging from Bastille, The Black Keys, Logic, Indigo De Souza, Paul Mcartney, and The Mars Volta also are releasing music strictly for Record Store Day.
