Daft Punk Announce Random Access Memories Re-Release for 10th Anniversary



After a cryptic desert set video post announcing the French electronic pioneer duos break up in 2021, fans were uncertain of the pair ever returning with new material. However, Daft Punk have recently announced a re-release of their final studio album Random Access Memories from 2014. The 10th Anniversary Edition will add new studio out takes and demos such as "GLBTM", "Infinity Repeating", and "Touch", which was also included in the epilogue video announcing the groups seperation. With the hit single "Get Lucky", featuring Pharell Williams, the album won five Grammy awards and was released to critical acclaim and received recognition on NME's "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time" as well as Rolling Stone Magazine's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time". One half of the couple Thomas Bangalter is also releasing Thomas Bangalter: Mythologies a classical arrangement with the initial single being "L'Accouchement". Random Access Memories (10th Anniversary Edition) will be available on May 12, 2023.
