U2 kicked off their run of shows titled “U2: UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere” this weekend at The Sphere at The Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Sphere is an immersive spectacle designed by architectural design company Populous. U2 will play batches of residency shows for the next couple of months. The band utilized the interior walls that displayed art on their 160,000 sq ft. screen while running through their catalog of music.

The Band played several songs from their 1991 album “Achtung Baby” such as “Even Better Than the Real Thing”, “Mysterious Ways”, and “One”. They also incorporated snippets of Donna Summers “I Feel Love”, Elvis Presley’s “Love Me Tender”, and Princes “Nothing Compares 2 U.”

In contribution to their residency, U2 released a new single “Atomic City.”
